Hand percussion workshops
Small adult groups for cajón, djembe, and frame drums — rhythm first, conversation second.

Cajón evenings
Cajón workshops focus on bass and snare tones inside the box, simple song accompaniment, and how to sit so your back survives a full set. Groups stay small — usually four to six adults — so everyone hears their own part. No prior kit experience required; a sense of pulse helps.
Djembe circles
Djembe blocks introduce call-and-response phrases, slap and tone vocabulary, and ensemble listening. We keep the repertoire respectful and practical: patterns you can lock with others without claiming traditional mastery after one night. Instruments are provided; clean hands and short nails make better sound.
- Warm-up body percussion and breath timing
- Tone vocabulary on the chosen instrument
- Layered grooves with the group
- Take-home phrase sheet for home practice
Frame drums & mixed sets
On selected Saturdays we run mixed hand-percussion evenings with frame drums, shakers, and light accessories. These sessions suit adults who want ensemble feel without committing to a full drum kit. Bring curiosity; leave the competitive energy at the door.
- Ninety-minute workshop blocks
- Adult-only enrolment (sixteen-plus welcome with a parent note if needed for logistics)
- Studio instruments included; you may bring your own cajón if preferred
- Combine with private kit lessons for a fuller week of practice
